ON FIRST AID CLASS
As a part of B.Ed curriculum Adi Sankara Training
College, Kalady has organized a workshop on First Aid on 07th January 2022 at 2
p.m. to 4 p.m. The session was handled by Mr. Dibin K.S., station officer, fire
& Rescue Station Angamaly. Vice Principal Miss. Praseetha V. and teachers
were present in the work shop held in the seminar hall. Suman George gave
welcome to all especially the officer who took the class.
Mr. Dibin began
his session by explaining CPR and its steps. It was a really needed thing that
he explained, since, as a school teacher we should know the basic first aid to
protect our children.
After this, he explained snakebite which was a common
issue faced in our society, the do's and don'ts was clearly explained using his
PPT. Next one was burning. Different degrees of burns were explained to us with
the treatment and first aid measures that is to be given to the victims. Next
topic was Seizure, he gave correct direction to the unscientific methods
followed by each of us.
As a conclusion, he taught the ‘importance of First Aid’ in different situations in
the case of burns,
electric shocks, dislocations, snake bites what kind of First aid we should
give. The importance of first aid is to save the life of the person.
Secondly, save the person from the worsening condition and third is to support
the person's recovery. At the end of the program, we were felt well knowledge to support the person suffering from a sudden
illness or accidents. After the vote of thanks, given by Aryalakshmi K., the
workshop came to an end.
